We had a wonderful time on Sunday visitng the Pumpkin Patch located on the west side of the island. We went with our friend Jennifer and her adorable daughter Sachi.

"Lost" day in Hawaii

Well, it's been 3 months since my last blog. So sorry. No excuses just busy and trying to enjoy Hawaii before the holidays hit. Debbie and I had last weekend off and we had a great time. On Saturday we attended an all day "LOST" event put on by the Hawaii international film festival. We went to three seminars : Producing and Directing a Hit Show; with Jen Higgins Executive producer.
Bringing the Design of each episode together; with Production designer Zack Grobler, Director of photography John Bartly, Construction coordinator Michael Crowe and Location manager Jim Triplett.
Costume and Props ;with Costume designer Rolland Sanchez and Prop Master Robert Kyker.

If you are a fan of the show, it was a great way to see how the whole TV thing works.

Today was another beach day as Debbie and I enjoy a rare 4 day weekend.

Yesterday we photographed some beautiful flowering trees that are in bloom all over the island right now.

4th of July Weekend in Hawaii

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend here in Hawaii. Debbie and I actually went to a firewoks show on the 3rd of July at the Aloha Tower Marketplace in Honolulu.

Today we went to Bellows Beach park and spent the day playing in the surf, reading, snacking and enjoying the beautiful views. You could see 5 different islands from our beach chairs. The weather was perfect as well!

Today Debbie and I went for a drive thru the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe. It was a overcast day with some light drizzle that made the green colors really show.

King Kamehameha Day

This last Thursday was King Kamehameha day in Hawaii. It is a state holiday and every year the king's statue in front of the Territorial office building in downtown Honolulu is draped in 30foot long lei. It looks beautiful and smells even better!
