Today Debbie and I went for a drive thru the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe. It was a overcast day with some light drizzle that made the green colors really show.

This last Thursday was King Kamehameha day in Hawaii. It is a state holiday and every year the king's statue in front of the Territorial office building in downtown Honolulu is draped in 30foot long lei. It looks beautiful and smells even better!

Summertime in Paradise

Well, the summer heat wave has finally arrived in Hawaii. The flowers are in bloom and the fruit trees are going crazy with yummy tropical fruits. The beach is calling every day for a visit from us. Hawaiian dinner walks around on two feet.

Busy week in the Islands.

Well ,I'm happy to report that Debbie is back to work and feeling stronger every day. Thanks for everyone's well wishes. It really means a lot to know that we have such a great and thoughtful group of friends and family out there.

We are very happy that our friends, Paul, Bernice & Dayna are visiting Hawaii right now before moving off to there next home in Okinawa. We met for dinner at "The Counter" in Kahala last night. It is co-owned by Daniel Dae Kim (from LOST)

Sheryl Crow concert clip

The Sheryl Crow concert was very good. Debbie was unable to attend due to the fact that she is still recovering from her surgery on April 9th. My date for the evening was Deb Z. Sheryl played everything from her early hits to a Jimi Hendrix song as well as a Led Zeppelin tune
